Faith, Family, and Dignity: Empowering Teen Mothers in Our Community

Bridging faith and dignity, our recent outreach brought teenage mothers and parents together for open conversations on reproductive health. With the generous support of Supa Paper Works and Tamu, we distributed 1,000 sanitary pads and provided essential education to over 400 girls across Kamabuye, Ruhuha, and Ngoma.

At the Edward Musonera Foundation, we believe that true empowerment starts with both faith and practical support. Recently, we held a very special outreach event that brought teenage mothers and their parents together in one room. This was a powerful time to break the silence and have open, honest conversations about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

Starting with Faith We know that guidance comes from God. That is why we began the session with a Bible study. By grounding our discussion in the Word of God, we reminded every young mother and parent that they have value and dignity. This spiritual foundation opened the door for a safe and respectful dialogue between parents and their children about menstrual health—a topic that is often difficult to discuss.

Partnership for Impact We cannot do this work alone. We are incredibly grateful for the generous support of our partners, Supa Paper Works and Tamu Sanitary Pads. Because of their help, we could provide essential supplies to the girls who need them most.

In total, we distributed 1,000 sanitary pads to over 400 teenage mothers across the Kamabuye, Ruhuha, and Ngoma sectors.

  • 750 pads were kindly donated by @SupaPaperWorks.

  • 250 pads were kindly donated by @tamusanitarypads.

Restoring Dignity This outreach was about more than just giving supplies. It was about education and dignity. The teenage mothers received vital information on how to manage their menstrual health with confidence.

We want to thank the community leaders and our partners who continue to support this mission. Together, we are building a future where every girl is supported, educated, and treated with the dignity she deserves.

  1. This is such a touching initiative. It is not easy to bring parents and children together for these talks, but doing it through faith makes a big difference. Thank you to the foundation and the partners for remembering the girls in our region. God bless the work of your hands!

  2. Alright folks, mcgamesbet.info…seems like a combo of gaming and betting? What’s the deal? Are the odds any good on this site or is it just another trap? Would love to hear if anyone’s actually won something here. mcgamesbet
